Enlightened Ramen of the Wandering Sage

"Soup so deep, your ancestors will text you back."

Ingredients

  • 1 brick of humble instant ramen (the $0.39 monk variety)
  • 1 egg, soft-boiled with intention
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced like grudges you've finally let go
  • 1 tbsp miso, aged longer than your last grudge
  • Sesame oil, drizzled like blessings
  • Scallions, sliced thin as the line between genius and chaos

Method

  1. 1Boil 2 cups of water. Stare into it. Acknowledge that you, too, are mostly water.
  2. 2Add miso and garlic. Whisper your goals. Do NOT skip this — the broth listens.
  3. 3Drop in the noodles. Set a 3-minute timer. Use those minutes to forgive someone.
  4. 4Plate it. Crown with the egg. Shower with scallions. Eat slowly. You have arrived.
A bowl of ramen at midnight has solved more problems than three years of advice.

A note from the chef

If this fed your soul, feed the cook.

Every recipe here was written at the kitchen counter between shifts, between heartbreaks, between the quiet 4 AM moments when most people are asleep and a few of us are still chasing a calling. I share them free because abundance multiplies when you give it away first — but the truth is the rent doesn't pay itself, the camera doesn't buy itself, and the dream is running on faith and discount coffee. If anything I've made has made your day a little warmer, your night a little less heavy, or your kitchen a little braver — please consider tossing a few dollars into the pot. You're not just supporting a guy with recipes. You're keeping a wide net cast in faith. Every cent goes back into making more for you.
